Sunday, August 31…
Curious George will be at the Beach!
Curious George by H.A. Rey and Margret Rey (the original story)
Secret Location Details
The Mustering Location is Pantry Park, near Woodbine Beach in Toronto’s East End (map) at the southwest corner of the park. We will ‘Muster’ there until 2pm, then parade south to the boardwalk and west to our final StoryMob location which will be somewhere near the southeast corner of the Donald D. Summerville Olympic Pool by Woodbine Beach.
12:30pm – volunteers, photographers and keeners who need extra time to organize their props and costumes meet at Pantry Park southwest corner
1:00pm (sharp!) – Official Mustering (we meet, greet and practice for the StoryMob)
2:00pm – Parade – we will parade from Pantry Park to gather an audience en route to our StoryMob location
2:10pm (approx) – StoryMob performance (lasts 10-20 minutes)
2:30pm – informal picnic and play on the beach!
* We still have a few reader parts available, so if you didn’t get a chance to sign up yet, don’t worry. Any unassigned parts will be given out by Cherie, our Page Master on Sunday at 1pm.
There is rain predicted for Sunday (but with the way the weather has been this summer, you just never know). We are planning to go ahead rain or shine, but if you aren’t sure, you might want to bring an umbrella or raincoat just in case.
*If for some reason we have to postpone due to weather we will be sure to send out an alert in the morning.*
StoryMobs, StoryMobs and More StoryMobs
In addition to the StoryMob happening tomorrow in Bayfield, Ontario, our friends at the Annapolis Valley Regional Library in Nova Scotia are already planning for their next StoryMob (their 3rd) for this October. We have many others who have expressed interest in hosting a StoryMob – and we are slowing getting on top of the requests (thank you for your patience). We are so excited to see StoryMobs slowly taking on a life of its own. If you are interested in hosting a StoryMob of your own, please send us a note.
